Meeting called to order by: PTO President- Kathy Vergara at 6:35PM

ORDERS OF BUSINESS
I. Events Recap/Updates
a. Financial Update
Current PTO account balance is $3,218
Thank you to all parents for your continued support
b. Muffins for Mom- Mother’s Day event
Event will be held on Friday May 24 th in the morning
Location will be in OWN2 multipurpose room
Hot breakfast buffet will be served
Please let the PTO know if you are able to volunteer during the event
c. Small Business Pop-Up
PTO will be holding a small business pop up event for OWN2 students, staff
and families that would like to showcase their business
Event will be held on May 26 th from 12p- 3p in the OWN2 Multipurpose room
Contact PTO if you would like to sign up to be a vendor
There will be a bouncy house, photo booth and more
d. Donuts with Dad- Father’s Day Event
Event will be held on June 20 th in the morning
More information will be posted shortly

Ticket price include a hot breakfast buffet
II. School Updates
a. Field Day
The year field day will be held on Friday May 31st
Information was posted on Bloomz about parent volunteers and the optional
purchasing of student field day shirts
Contact the school with any further questions regarding field day
b. International Day
International Day will be held on Friday June 7 th
Events and activities will be held at OWN2 during school hours
Any parents interested in volunteering should contact Mr. Thompson
c. Kindergarten Orientation
Kindergarten orientation for new families will be held June 3 rd -6 th
Contact Ms. Valencia for more information
d. End of Year Activities
5 th Grade senior activities will be held the week of June 10-14
The kindergarten classes will be going to Launch on June 21 st
There will be a OWN2 Summer Send Off event on June 27 th – PTO has
coordinated an ice cream truck to provide frozen treats to the students
Parents can contact Ms. Valencia or Ms. Wallace with any questions
e. Summer Program
Information was posted on Bloomz regarding the summer program that will
be held at the school
The summer program has only limited seats. Students that have been
selected should have already received an email from the school
If there are any further questions regarding the summer program, contact Ms.
Wallace or Ms. Buonomo
III. Reminders
a. Traffic and Congestion – Please remember to be courteous when picking up and
dropping off your child. Do not double and triple park in front of the school building as
this creates an unsafe environment for our students and families
b. School Calendar – Remember to continue checking the school website regularly for
any changes to the school calendar related to Half Days or Holidays
c. Nut-Free School – Please remember, no nut products allowed in the school building
d. Important Dates:
May 24 th - No afterschool
May 27 th – School is closed
June 12 th – Noon dismissal
June 17 th and 19 th – School is closed
June 14 th – Last day of Reading for Smiles afterschool program
June 20 th – Last day of 21 st Century afterschool program
June 28 th – Last day of School!
